Hermetic Breakthrough
A Hermetic breakthrough is a breakthrough in magical research that ranks above a Major Breakthrough. A Hermetic Breakthrough would expand the possibilities of Hermetic Magic in a dramatic way: creating a new Arcane Ability or breaking one of the Lesser Limits of Magic.
Known Hermetic Breakthroughs
The only Hermetic Breakthrough that has occurred was Bonisagus's invention of Parma Magica. If a magus ever manages to make another such profound discovery, it would likely transform the Order of Hermes and make its inventor as famous as the Founders themselves.
